- Hello there! My name is Ma Rainey but my maiden name is Getrude Pridgett... i love to dance and sing those things are what I live for. I am a famous african american blues singer, you know i was born in to a real show biz family. In 1900 was my first real performance, at 14 I did fantastic! have you ever heard of Ma Rainey Black Bottom? Yupp thats me dancin' and a singing. Wow these good days... i've also been called the "mother of blues". My most popular songs are... Black Dust Blues and Black Eye Blues.
You and I are not all that different. We both have strived in the world of entertainment only to be shot down time after time. Then when we finally got our big break we showed the world what we could do, and they loved us. I too, as a child performed a little show, and that's what inspired me to become an actress.

ReplyDeleteHey Ma Rainy! It's Fanny Brice. We actually have a lot in common. We both grew up in the world war one era, which was very hard on us, as you would know. Also we both are well known in the music industry. We were both well liked at thr end of our time.

It also seems like we both have the same basic blossom of interest in the entertainment business. You come off as a very confident performer and love to entertain, which is another thing we have in common.
